Station no. 11 - - The Upper Zig

DOWNSTREAM VIEWS:

Here again we have an unusual starting point: a 1987 image from 4 years after the 1983 flood, below left. Note especially the apparent shape of the promontory terrace (sloping from lower-left center down into the wash, and covered with low brush. Compare this with the 1993 image, below right. Here, the lower terrace has been scoured nearly flat, while it would appear some small riparian trees are emerging on the upper remnant.
